Chris Messer is a local road racer of 13 years experience in various forms from formula to stock cars. Chris has been successful, winning in every class and sanctioning body in which he has competed in Hawaii and won the prestigious HIRS Spec Racer Championship in 1998. In addition to his success as a racer Chris has, as an instructor, competitor and friend, been instrumental in introducing and coaching some of the islands best drivers since he began teaching at Hawaii International Racing School in 1995.

Chris' connection to NASCAR is through long-time friend, Paul Yamamoto, who owns the shop where Steve Portenga Racing built and maintained his NASCAR West and Truck operation for the past seven years (Steve is now the driver of the Bill McAnally Racing West Series NAPA Chevrolet with teammate Sarah Fisher). Chris and Paul make a yearly pilgrimage to the West Coast and pit crew for Steve in whichever series he is running and this type of experience has added vastly to his knowledge of Stock Car racing and his mechanical ability. Before buying the 1999 Monte Carlo, Chris spent a few years modifying a 1988 Z-28 with Paul's help, putting in countless NASCAR style parts and this helped forge the relationship they both now enjoy today.
Chris envisioned Racing Thunder In Paradise a few years back, spent considerable time and effort preparing for business and now is ready to share his racing experience with you. With Racing Radio headsets you will be able to communicate with him, telling him just exactly the type of ride you want so that you get the most of your experience and he can cater to your particular needs. This is, by far, the fastest, safest (a full set Stand 21 safety gear is available upon request) passenger ride in the islands and Chris is sure you will never forget this incredible experience.
